“Las Vegas is the place to be! Vegas, baby! The place! I just booked you a spot at the iheartradio festival when they dropped out,” my manager Steve explained. He’s very peppy, especially with all the caffeine he drank during the L.A. concert. “Oh, honey! You’ll be on those thingy-mabobbers that advertise on top of those taxis. Lots of cha-ching invested, getting a lot of dough out!”
I roll my eyes at Steve. He’s always been such a believer in me and a physco bileber. I sigh and told him, “Steve, it’s not about money. It’s about the fact that I get to sing at the biggest convert at the MGM in Vegas!”
My wardrobe stylist ushered my in the dressing room. I look quizzically at Steve.
“This isn’t necessary,” I sighed, as I was pulled to be fitted.
“Sure, it isn’t, but we have to look proper correct?” Steve smiled and made his eyebrows do this weird thing that looked like a wave. He shut the curtain and left me to get measured.
Fan:
“Really, dad? We’re going? You’re serious?” I asked, anxiously.
Dad and I were on the airplane on the way to Las Vegas.
“Yep. We’ll have to get changed quickly and go to the show,” Dad told me as I felt the airplane descend.
I smiled. I was going to Las Vegas! It was my first time, so I was so excited! I know what you’re thinking. It’s a total adult hang-out blah, blah, blah. I have a real reason! I’m going to the iheartradio festival this year!!! It’s the first festival ever for this new app and everything was sold out. My dad got himself and me tickets!
When we landed, it was a pretty much a rush. I won’t bother telling you how I got dressed and unimportant stuff like that. But I will tell you I’m wearing white shorts, blue vest, white tank and some awesome black sandals. Also that it’s really hot in Las Vegas.

“Okay, I am so nervous! Steve!” I said. I was shaking, I had the best outfit. “The concert starts in one minute and I introduce!”
Steve came through my dressing room door and peeked in. “It’ll be fine. Read the TelePrompter and you’ll be one hundred percent okay,” he told me.
This is the biggest night of my life and Steve just tells me to rock out?! I mean, it’s calming usually, but today it is most certainly not. No. Not at all! (Literally, I’m shaking in my boots.) Calm yourself! I think. Nothing’s working.
The stage manager stuck his abnormally large head in and explained to me that I was on first. I took a deep breath and followed him to the stage.
Fan:
OMG! I’m in my seat prepared and ready for the concert! The crowd starts chanting and I follow.
Star:
I leap out on stage and the crowd goes wild. The stage lights come on. I’m ready.
